<image:caption>“Last year I lost my younger sister to suicide, after years of struggle with severe mental illness. After her death I felt numb and very depressed. I had total artist block and for the first time in years, I was unable to do anything creative. The artistic spark inside me had been extinguished. I started focusing on taking photos every day. I would practise being mindful in nature and I used the camera to help me observe details about the plants, animals and the sky. Now I'm starting to feel creative again, and I use my photographs to inspire new artworks.”</image:caption>
